7th Grade Standard I-Objective 3 Motion of Particles

Standard I: Students will understand the structure of matter.
Objective 3: Investigate the motion of particles

Enduring Understanding
Particles are in constant motion. The motion can be measured by changes in temperature, volume, and diffusion.

"I Can" Statements:

  1. I can describe how a substance be made to change state.
  2. I can define diffusion and provide an example.
  3. I can predict what happens to the volume of most substances as they are heated.
  4. I can recognize how structures must to be built to account for temperature changes.
