Standard III-Objective 2 Compare Plant/Animal Organ Systems

Standard III: Students will understand the relationship between structure and function of organs and organ systems.
Objective 2:Describe the relationship between structure and function of organ systems in plants and animals.

Enduring Understanding: Organs are made up of tissues able to do a specific task. Organs and organ systems function together to provide homeostasis in organisms. The functioning of organs depends upon multiple organ systems.

I Can Statements

  1. I can describe how digestion and respiration contribute to homeostasis of an organism.
  2. I can sumarize how circulation and respiration are related in an organism (or skeletal and muscular systems).
  3. I can model how muscle tissue allows a muscle to do it's job.
  4. I can compare reproductive(digestive, respiratory, circulatory) systems in frogs to those in humans.
  5. I can compare reproductive(digestive, respiratory, circulatory) systems in ferns to those in peaches.
